Believe in some kind of beauty.
Feel how heavy it is
in a not too unfamiliar hour;
stand in the midst
of it all and say nothing.
I've done that, or both—
an abandonment to the nameless,
hardened, confused, and frightened.
You'll learn from it if you want to.
Spread your roots and move
in infinite space.
